To help achieve
this, the group organises seminars and workshops as well as providing members with newsletters and a Charity Finance Yearbook. Seminars normally last approximately 2 hours and
cover topics such as SORP, IT, pensions, fund raising, reserves policy, Data Protection and employment issues.
Seminars alternate between Edinburgh and Glasgow and also provide an opportunity to network. Special interest
groups have also been set up such as the Lobbying Sub-Group and the Costs Sub-Group. A recent initiative, which
has proved propular with members, is the introduction of networking lunches, held both in Glasgow and Edinburgh, where small
groups have met and discussed areas of interest or mutual concern over a relaxed, informal lunch. These services
are all provided within the Annual Subscription. Membership is primarily accountants and senior financial executives working in Scottish based charities. If you would like to join or find out more please contact the SCFDG Administrator:
